Dr. Kailun Jiang completed her B.Sc in Biochemistry with Honours at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2008 and her medical degree from the University of Manitoba in 2012. After a year in an ophthalmic pathology fellowship under Dr. Seymour Brownstein at the University of Ottawa, she completed a 5-year ophthalmology residency in 2018 at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Jiang then went on to complete two years of oculoplastics and reconstructive fellowships at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, United Kingdom, and the University of Calgary. She is one of only three orbital surgeons in the Fraser Valley. Her research interests span the breadth of ophthalmology, and to date, she has published 26 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, for which she has received a number of awards.

Dr. Jiang actively participates in teaching as a clinical instructor for the UBC medical school and is the Chair of the competency committee for the Ophthalmology training program at UBC. Furthermore, she is working towards a Professional Master’s of Education. She has returned to the Lower Mainland, providing expert management in comprehensive ophthalmology, as well as eyelid, orbit, and lacrimal pathologies.
